Davit Zalkaliani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, thanked Mevlut Cavusoglu, the Foreign Minister of Turkey, for his statement on Georgia"s NATO membership.

“Dear Mevlut, thank you for your encouraging support to Georgia in its relentless pursuit to become a member of NATO. The importance of your support is even more pronounced, given the challenges currently facing. We hold firmly to our chosen path to NATO”, - tweeted Zalkaliani.

Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Turkey fully supports Georgia"s NATO membership at a time when Germany and France are avoiding the issue not to aggravate relations with Russia.
