Georgia’s external trade turnover amounted to 12.83 billion USD in 2019, an increase of 2.7% compared to last year, shows the data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
The value of exports went up 12.4% and reached 3.77 billion USD, while imports decreased 0.8%, amounting to 9.06 billion USD.
The trade deficit of Georgia in 2019 amounted to 5.29 billion USD, a 41.2% of total trade turnover.
Geostat will release the detailed figures of foreign trade for 2019 on January 20.
