Judge Giorgi Arevadze fined former Director General of Rustavi 2 Nika Gvaramia with GEL 500. The official reason – “insulting the court and the judge”.

Nika Gvaramia was fined for statements made at the hearing on January 3.

“Your behavior deserves detention, but I will not do it, because then you will present yourself to the public as a victim”, - told Arevadze to Gvaramia.

At the previous hearing, Nika Gvaramia questioned the adequacy of the judge and noted that he was not sober. Gvaramia believes that this was his freedom of expression and personal opinion.
