Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan launched "Turkish Stream"

Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan officially opened the Turkish Stream gas pipeline.

The ceremony of gas pipeline’s commissioning took place in Istanbul. Putin noted that this was an important event not only for the Russian Federation and Turkey, but for the entire European continent.

The Turkish Stream gas pipeline has a total capacity of 31.5 billion cubic meters. Its first line will provide Turkish consumers with a capacity of 15.75 billion cubic meters of Russian gas.

The second line will supply another 15.75 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe through Turkey, Bulgaria, Serbia and Hungary.
