Former Head of Nissan and Renault fled to Lebanon

The former Chairperson and CEO of Nissan and Renault, accused of financial fraud in Japan who was held in Tokyo under house arrest, fled to Lebanon.

According to Carlos Ghosn, the Japanese judicial system is denying basic human rights, and he is not going to be a hostage of this system.

It should be noted that there is no extradition agreement between Beirut and Tokyo.

Carlos Ghosn was arrested on charges of enriching from the income of the company in November 2018. His trial was scheduled in 2020.
