A helicopter and about 200 firefighters are involved to extinguish a fire in the village of Ormotsi, Ateni Gorge.
Fires were reported in the gorge late yesterday with firefighters working to extinguish the fire whole night. 
According to the Emergency Management Service, special equipment and a helicopter are being used to put out the fire. The number of firefighters will increase to 200 today.
Shida Kartli State Governor Giorgi Khojevanishvili and Deputy Interior Minister Ioseb Chelidze are on the scene.  
Ten active fires were reported throughout Georgia yesterday, mostly on the lower layers of forests.
