The Prosecutor General’s Office of Georgia released a statement on the death of 15-year-old Luka Siradze.
According to the agency, the detained investigator was officially charged. The Prosecutor’s Office demands detention for Mariana Choloiani.
“M.Ch. detained on December 17, 2019, was charged with two episodes, under the first part of Article 335 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which means that the officer was forcing to testify. M.CH. summoned L.S. together with his mother, for a criminal investigation. The investigator did not adhere to the principles of the Juvenile Justice Code and requested L.S. to plead guilty. After refusing to plead guilty, the investigator questioned the witnesses and tried to cause a dispute between them. As a result, the juveniles suffered psychological stress”, - reads the statement.
