The 33rd International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent is being held in Geneva. The event is chaired by Natia Loladze, the President of the Georgian Red Cross Society.

The Conference is being attended by representatives of 192 countries of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, member countries of the Geneva Convention, including the Georgian state delegation led by Deputy Minister of Justice Gocha Lortkipanidze.

“Act Today, Create Tomorrow” - this is a slogan of the  Conference, aimed at improving the conditions of those affected by armed conflicts, disasters and emergencies, including climate change, as well as discussing the current and future challenges that people face on a daily basis.

“Government and Red Cross officials are given the opportunity to take on joint responsibilities such as disaster preparedness, environmental issues, etc.”, - said Natia Loladze.
