Leaders of member states at the NATO summit in London backed a plan to protect Poland and the Baltic states.

According to the NATO Secretary General, the mobilization of Alliance forces in the Baltic states is a response to Russia’s actions.

Prior to the summit, Erdogan said that Turkey would not support the alliance’s initiative unless NATO recognized the Kurds as terrorists.

Despite this ultimatum, Ankara has given up. A joint statement came after the two-day summit on the 70th anniversary.
