I intend to be everyone’s President, regardless of who likes me and who does not - Mikheil Kavelashvili

The President-elect Mikheil Kavelashvili delivered a speech at the inauguration ceremony, pledging to serve every citizen. He extended special greetings to the Georgian citizens, particularly addressing "Abkhaz and Ossetian brothers and sisters".

“For centuries, Georgia has endured many hardships. Our people created a country and, most importantly, an eternal idea called the homeland. This idea is cherished and protected by the Georgian people at all times.

The centrality of unity, family values, and respect for tradition in shaping Georgia’s identity, a strong family translates to a strong nation.

Christianity played a special role in the final formation and unification of our nation. Over time, Orthodoxy and Georgian identity became inseparable... Orthodoxy has greatly contributed to shaping the humane nature of Georgians.

Europe is Georgia’s civilisational choice…

The Georgian people have always understood that peace is the foundation of survival and development. Achieving prosperity, continuous progress, ensuring a safe and bright future, and striving for happiness are only possible when we approach existing challenges with caution.

I intend to be everyone’s President, regardless of who likes me and who does not! My future efforts will be aimed at consolidating and uniting our public. Regardless of differing opinions on various issues, we must unite around our homeland, values, and rules based on mutual respect, around the future that we must continue to build together. I am confident that together, we will strengthen our unity, build a peaceful, strong, and prosperous Georgia, and preserve our traditions, language, and faith for future generations. May God be our protector!”, - said Mikheil Kavelashvili.
