Tbilisi City Hall releases information regarding the traffic restriction due to the tents arrangement near the TSU, blocking of the road

Tbilisi City Hall issues a statement regarding the restriction of transit traffic due to the ongoing rally in front of the first building of the Tbilisi State University.

“Due to the action taking place near TSU, traffic is temporarily restricted from Varaziskhevi to Kekelidze Street. Also, on Kekelidze Street, from Kekelidze Street to Melikishvili Avenue, from Chavchavadze Avenue to Melikishvili Street.

Cars will be able to get to Chavchavadze Avenue through Avalishvili and Tamarashvili streets. During the traffic restriction period, it will be possible to move on Chavchavadze Avenue through Abashidze, Paliashvili, Melikishvili and Vasil Barnovi streets, while traffic in the direction of Melikishvili Street will be able to move using Barnovi and Petriashvili streets.

The scheme of public transport has also been temporarily changed. Buses and minibuses moving on the respective routes will move from Vake Park to Kazbegi Avenue, connect to Peking Avenue and Heroes’ Square, continue on the right bank and connect to Rustaveli Avenue through Mikheil Javakhishvili Street. Then they will continue moving according to the established routes. The same route will be used by public transport in the reverse direction.

As for buses N385, N387 and N397, they will not be able to serve passengers temporarily”, - reads the statement of Tbilisi City Hall.
