The CEC Chair, along with the deputy chair and the heads of the agency’s structural units, met with leaders and representatives from the OSCE/ODIHR observation mission.
Giorgi Kalandarishvili provided the OSCE/ODIHR representatives with detailed information on the events that have unfolded since Election Day, as well as on recent discussions concerning various aspects of the election process. Additionally, the election administration reaffirmed its commitment to providing the delegation members with any requested information promptly and comprehensively.
Giorgi Kalandarishvili expressed his gratitude to the mission representatives for their objective, impartial, and positive assessment of the election administration"s work. As he mentioned, the election administration got acquainted with the report of the OSCE/ODIR observation mission and all the findings and concerns mentioned in the document. Kalandarishvili affirmed his readiness to review this information and consider it within the scope of his authority and capabilities.
He noted that this was the first election in which electronic voting technologies were widely implemented and emphasized the importance of considering objective feedback and recommendations from monitoring organizations to further enhance this process.
The OSCE/ODIHR observation mission was led by Eoghan Murphy. Also attending the meeting were Deputy Head of Mission Marcell Nagy, Election Analyst Marcela Mašková, and Legal Analyst Anna Melikyan.
Representing the election administration at the meeting were Giorgi Santuriani, Head of the Legal Department, and Eka Tsabashvili, Head of the Election Process Management Department.
