Rtveli in Georgia - grape harvest reaches 300,000 tons

As of October 7, 300,000 tons of grapes have been processed in Georgia, setting a record in the history of independent Georgia. The grape harvest is nearing completion in Kakheti and has already concluded in Racha. Currently, harvesting is actively underway in Lechkhumi.

Of the total grapes processed, 296,000 tons come from Kakheti, 1,700 tons from Racha, 304 tons from Lechkhumi, and the remainder from other wine-growing regions across the country. The revenue from grape sales has reached 450 million GEL, with 20,000 winegrowers participating so far.

A total of 486 wine companies and wineries have been involved in the harvest this year.
