Essential procedures for examination and registration of the party lists have been already commenced by the relevant structural unit of CEC of Georgia. Accordingly, the 18 election subjects are subject of registration procedures at present.

The 27 elections subjects were registered for the October 26 Elections. Registration of the 3 political parties (‘Ana Dolidze – for People,’ ‘Citizens’ and ‘Part of Greens’) were cancelled as per the pertinent requirements submitted by those parties.

It is noteworthy that CEC has given the political parties an opportunity to electronically submit their party lists for the Parliamentary Elections. An amendment, pursuant to which the political parties may electronically submit the party lists for the October 26, 2024 Parliamentary Elections with the aim of being registered, was enacted on September 10. Following its enactment, CEC proposed the use of electronic means for submission of documentation to the political parties, being already registered for the elections. The four political parties have submitted their party lists as per the mentioned procedure.

Furthermore, CEC of Georgia has specified the procedures for submitting information about a candidate’s political affiliation (№34/2024 Decree), allowing the political parties to timely make decisions in regard to the party lists.

Election Administration (EA) of Georgia has already specified the timeframes, defining the procedure for submission of certificate of narcological examination. CEC of Georgia made an amendment to the relevant ordinance, and defined that the certificate of narcological examination shall be annexed to the submitted party list to CEC of Georgia, if issued within the 20 calendar days prior to the deadline for submission of party lists. As a result, information on crucial procedures was clarified for election subjects.
