The Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili held a meeting with the newly elected British Ambassador, Gareth Ward and overviewed bilateral relations between Georgia and the United Kingdom.

Ambassador Ward expressed his intact support for the territorial integrity and the sovereignty of Georgia, as well as the democratic and economic development of the country.

The Speaker and the British Ambassador deliberated on the bilateral relations agenda, the developments in Georgia, the upcoming Parliamentary Elections scheduled in October and the respective plans.

The Speaker congratulated the Ambassador on the appointment and extended his best wishes for his career. The commitment to intensely cooperating was affirmed by the parties.
