The new school year has commenced in public schools across Georgia. A lot of new public schools have opened their doors to students throughout the country.
According to the Ministry of Education, over 50 000 first-graders enrolled in the schools this year.
Minister of Education Giorgi Amilakhvari congratulated students as they embarked on the new academic year. He visited Tbilisi #160 Public School alongside Tbilisi City Assembly (Sakrebulo) Chair Giorgi Tkemaladze and Sakrebulo member Vladimer Bozhadze, where they inspected the newly reconstructed facilities and infrastructure.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, the regional school support initiative will continue to enhance accessibility to education through a transportation program for students. All students will receive textbooks and notebooks, and first-graders, along with educators in Georgian public schools, will be provided with portable computers for the new academic year.
