Georgian airports have served over 4 million passengers in 7 months of 2024 - Civil Aviation Agency

Airports of Georgia had shown a 33% increase in passenger traffic between January and July compared to the post-pandemic rate. The relevant statement was released by the Civil Aviation Agency of the Georgian Ministry of Economy.

“Georgian airports served more than 4 million passengers with regular and non-regular flights, which was 28% more compared to the data of 7 months of 2023, and 80% more than in the same period of 2022.

Besides, airports served 3,061,750 passengers between January and July in 2019, 2,263,872 passengers in 2022, 3,180,226 passengers in 2023, and 4,066,142 passengers in 2024.

In January - July in 2024 the Tbilisi International Airport served 2,643,874 passengers, which was 34% more year-on-year.

There is also a 39% increase in passenger flow at Batumi International Airport, which served 482,023 passengers between January and July in 2024.

The data between January and July in 2024 showed that Kutaisi International Airport had marked a 105% increase in passenger flow compared to the pre-pandemic figures”.
