The State Security Service of Georgia [SSSG], in cooperation with the General Prosecutor’s Office, based on the partnership with the relevant agencies of the United States of America, as a result of a special operation conducted in of Batumi, arrested 1 citizen of the US.

“The detained person is wanted by the appropriate service of the state of Idaho, USA, for committing a particularly serious crime against a minor.

As a result of the measures requested by the American partners within the framework of international cooperation, the items belonging to the detained person were removed, including electronic information devices, portable computers and various types of special purpose electrical equipment.

Legal actions will be taken against the detained person in order to extradite him to the US and hand over the seized material evidence”, - reads the statement of the SSSG.
