Black Sea Arena hosted the British electronic music project Jungle, as part of the Starring Georgia series, a programme of performance events aiming to promote the country’s potential in tourism, economy and culture.
Jungle was formed by London-based musicians Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland in 2013. Inspired by Nu Disco and Funk sounds, the project released its 1st major composition Busy Earnin’ in April 2014, which immediately caught the attention of listeners and music critics.
This success led to their participation in the famous 5-day Glastonbury festival in England in 2015.
OneRepublic, Scorpions and Massive Attack were among the headliners in this year’s Starring Georgia series, the programme aiming to put Georgia on the map of international event calendars by the performances at the 10,000-capacity Black Sea Arena this summer.
Starring Georgia series was launched in 2023 and hosted Bruno Mars, Imagine Dragons, The Killers and other performers in Tbilisi and in Shekvetili.
