Employees of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operational measures and investigative actions, arrested 4 persons for premeditated murder, providing false information and non-reporting especially grave crime in connection with the murder case in Tbilisi.

Police arrested L.K (DoB 1998) and N.F. (DoB 2005) for premeditated murder, while J.F.(DoB 2002) and O.B. (DoB 1989) is detained for non- reporting an especially grave crime.

The committed crime envisions by up to 15 years in prison.

The investigation established that on August 12 of the current year, the accused L.K., on the basis of a mutual dispute, inflicted several wounds with a cold steel to his relative - G.K. (DoB 1987) in the village of Dighomi in Tbilisi, and fled from the scene of the incident. As a result of the injuries inflicted to G.K. he was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital.

As a result of the investigative activities conducted by the law enforcement officers, L.K. was arrested in Kakheti.

Through the investigation, it was also established that mutual friends of the accused person and the victim - O.B. and N.F., who, during the investigation of the murder case, while being interrogated as a witness, provided false information to the law enforcement officers in order to obstruct justice. Herewith, it was established that the accused J.F. was aware of the mentioned crime, although he did not report the crime to the law enforcement authorities.

The investigation is being conducted under Article 108, Article 370, Part III and Article 376, Part II of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
