The employees of the Special Investigation Service detained the inspector of the Security Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the facts of violence and threat.

The investigation established that on August 6, 2024, in the village of Zemo Bulachauri, Dusheti Municipality, the accused law enforcement officer inflicted injuries on the victim’s face and head and threatened to take her and her children’s lives.

After receiving the report of the female victim, the Special Investigation Service conducted urgent investigative activities and detained the accused on charges of violence and threat.

Crime envisages imprisonment for up to 3 years.

The law enforcement officer will be charged within 48 hours.

The Special Investigation Service continues the investigation of the case.
