Police detained 6 people at the rally near the Tbilisi International Airport

Police officers detained 6 people during the protest rally near Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport.

According to the Interior Ministry, all 6 persons have been detained administratively.

A plane belonging to a Russian airline landed at Tbilisi International Airport. This was the first direct flight from Russia to Georgia after 2019 and was operated by Azimut airline. A protest rally is taking place on the territory of the airport. The participants of the rally are protesting the flight from Russia. Police are mobilized both on the internal and external perimeter of the airport.
