With the joint initiative of Rustavi City Hall and Rustavi Professional Drama Theater, the “Theatrical Break” project for young people was started. Within the framework of the project, the first meeting was opened by Rustavi Mayor. As Nino Latsabidze said, at the meetings held within the framework of the “Generation for the Future” project, the young people themselves expressed their desire to get to know theater life better.

The Mayor thanked Soso Nemsadze, the artistic director of the Rustavi Theater and the representatives of the theater field involved in the project, and noted that for the proper development of young people, it is very important to actively involve them in the theater life of the city.

According to Nemsadze, within the framework of the project, for one month, the 10th grade students of Rustavi schools will learn the history of theater, theater painting, dramaturgy, choreography, directing and acting art, directly with professional actors, directors and theater experts. They will get to know each other through communication.

After the meetings, the young people will also attend the Rustavi Theater performances. The goal of the “Theatrical Break” project is to integrate Rustaveli youth with the modern cultural sphere, to form the adolescent generation as a cultural audience and to increase their interest in theater art.
