18-year-old man, who is accused of murdering a 71-year-old woman, to be formally charged today.

As a result of immediate operative-search measures and investigative actions, police detained B.Kh. (DoB 2005) for premeditated murder.

The investigation established that the accused person, in Akhmeta, as a result of the conflict on domestic issues, shot his neighbor - L. Kh. (DoB 1952) with a hunting rifle in the face area and fled from the scene. Wounded L. Kh. was taken to a medical facility, however, the latter died as a result of the sustained trauma.

The law enforcement officers detained B.Kh. shortly after the incident, as a suspect in the course of immediate police activities. Police seized the weapon of crime - a hunting rifle as evidence.

The investigation into the fact of premeditated murder is in progress under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia - The committed crime envisions from 10 to 15 years of imprisonment.
