Georgia’s Shota Mishvelidze claimed 2 gold and 1 silver medals at the European Weightlifting Championships in Yerevan. He earned the 61 kg weight category gold by lifting 129, 133 and 136 kilograms in snatch. Mishvelidze also lifted 155 and 162 kg in clean and jerk to take the silver, and his combined total of 298 kg earned another gold.
Besides, Georgian weightlifter Ramin Shamilishvili claimed 3 medals. Under the guidance of Giorgi Asanidze, he became champion in the clean and jerk in the 55 kg weight category, overcoming 109/111/113 kg and winning a gold medal.
The Georgian weightlifter lifted 132/136 kg in the snatch and won a bronze medal, and for a total 249 kg earned a silver medal.
