Tbilisi is hosting a business forum involving businesses of Georgia and the United Arab Emirates, with the event involving discussions of trade turnover and investment between the two countries.
Georgian Economy Minister Levan Davitashvili and Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the UAE were among the speakers.
Since 2003, investments of USD 1.10 billion have been made in Georgia. The Emirati private sector showed interest in agriculture, logistics, retail and other sectors of the Georgian economy.
Levan Davitashvili announced the visit of the President of the UAE to Georgia this year.
