As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, employees of the Vake-Saburtalo Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested G.B in Tbilisi, born in 1976, on the charges of intentional serious damage to health and illegal purchase, storage and carrying of firearms.

The crime is punishable by up to 7 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that the accused injured A.G., born in 1973, on March 6 of this year with a shot from a firearm and hid from the scene.

The law enforcement officers, as a result of investigative actions conducted on a hot trail, arrested GB shortly after the incident.

The crime weapon was seized as evidence.

The investigation is being conducted under Article 117, Article 1, and Article 236, Parts 3 and 4 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which refers to intentional serious injury to health and illegal purchase, storage, and carrying of firearms.
