The Secretary General of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation attended the Freestyle Ski, Snowboard and Freeski World Championships in Bakuriani.
Michel Vion said that Georgia deserves a “round of applause” for the level of its hosting of the ongoing World Championships. He highlighted the “impressively high-level” of the event in terms of infrastructure and organization, noting the involved athletes and coaches were “very satisfied” with the tournament.
The Championships officially opened on February 19 and involve about 700 athletes from 42 countries competing in 30 categories. The event is set to run through March 5.
