Prime Minister of Georgia met H.E. Irakli Kurashvili, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Latvia upon his appointment today.

Meeting was focused on the review of major directions of current cooperation between Georgia and Republic of Latvia.

Irakli Garibashvili congratulated Irakli Kurashvili on the appointment to a new position and wished every success in his future endeavors.

In return, Irakli Kurashvili thanked the Prime Minister of Georgia for the expressed trust.

Irakli Kurashvili worked at various positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia at different times. He served as an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Swiss Confederation and Republic of Argentina. Prior to his current duty station in the Republic of Latvia, Irakli Kurashvili served as a Director General within the EU General Directorate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
