The members of the political group “Lelo – Partnership for Georgia” met with the representatives of Georgia - EaP CSF NGOs to discuss the Bill prepared by the members of “People’s Power” on the Transparency of Foreign Influence.

According to the Chair of the Political Group, David Usupashvili, the draft law is aimed at discrediting civil society and poses a threat to the population of Georgia.

“About 30 countries of the European Union, with which we want to unite in this union, have been declared by this law as countries acting against the interests of Georgia. It is hard to imagine a bigger blow on the path of European integration”, - said David Usupashvili.

“The adoption of the draft law will damage the process of the country’s EU integration and hinder the granting of candidate status to Georgia.

If the law is adopted, the door of the European Union will be closed for Georgia. The initiation and adoption of this law, which the Georgian Dream has the intention of, is sabotage arranged on the path of Georgia"s Euro-Atlantic integration”, - added Ana Natsvlishvili.
