Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Hani Weiss, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim, a company owning a chain of food retailers and supermarkets.
The topics discussed included the expansion of the holding’s portfolio in Georgia and the diversification of existing investments.
Investment opportunities in hotels and real estate were discussed at the meeting.
According to the Prime Minister, Majid Al Futtaim Group is successfully operating in Georgia, and it will enjoy support from the Government of Georgia if its current portfolio expands.
Majid Al Futtaim is a United Arab Emirates holding owning and operating shopping malls and leisure destinations in 17 countries of the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. The holding employes 43,000 people, and its revenues amount to 8.8 billion USD. Majid Al Futtaim owns the Carrefour hypermarket in Georgia.
