For the first time, the WHO Collaborating Center opens in Georgia, writes the US Embassy in Georgia.
“This is a recognition of the immense work of the Georgian government and people to eliminate hepatitis C in their country in collaboration with the United States.
The new center will be part of a worldwide network of 800 centers and share knowledge and experience on viral hepatitis elimination with member countries. Congratulations to all the clinicians, scientists, legislators, and civil society members who supported Georgia in implementing this bold plan”, - reads the statement of the Embassy.
