MPs from the Georgian Dream met with the OSCE PA Delegation

The OSCE PA Delegation heard information on the human rights state in Georgia introduced by the member of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee, David Sergeenko at the meeting with the Deputy Chair of the OSCE PA Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions, Farah Karimi and the Rapporteur, Johan Buser.

Sergeenko dwelt on the steps taken for the improvement of the healthcare, social policy, minorities and rights of children situation and emphasized the legal state of the Georgian citizens residing on the occupied territories.

“The guests were interested in the recent steps in the human rights direction, as well as the healthcare, social policy spheres and rights of minorities and children. During the consideration, we outlined negative phenomena such as violence against women. The OSCE PA representatives expressed their interest in the legal state of the Georgian citizens residing in the occupied regions. Tomorrow, we schedule the visit of the Delegation to the conflict-affected region”, - said David Sergeenko.
