Gastroenterologist Stuart Finkel is being questioned at Saakashvili’s trial

Gastroenterologist Stuart Finkel is being questioned at Mikheil Saakashvili’s trial. According to the doctor, the former president has an increased risk of developing stomach cancer.

However, as Finkel said, he does not have the opportunity to fully assess this risk, because no adequate examinations have been conducted.

“Besides, Mikheil Saakashvili was given medicines, the side effects of which are nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite”, - explained gastroenterologist.

When asked if he was given these drugs on purpose, Stuart Finkel said: “Yes, they were aware of it”.

Gastroenterologist believes that the condition of the digestive system, which the third president of Georgia has, can lead to death.
