Regions of Georgia are preparing to celebrate the New Year

All 10 regions of the country are preparing for New Year - celebrations set to be launched on Saturday, December 24 and run through January 14.

Events involving Santa Clauses, characters from fairytales and more will be hosted for kids in 63 municipalities of Georgia. For the first time over the recent years, the winter resort town of Bakuriani will also have special events for the upcoming holiday season.

Up to 50,000 individuals have been involved in organising these events throughout the country.
