We need to strengthen the global dialogue with the countries with which we have some differences - Charles Michel

According to the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, the EU needs to engage more with the rest of the world, including those countries with which it has some differences, in order to strengthen the global dialogue.

According to him, they know what they want to do in order to make Europe stronger, more resilient and less dependent.

“We have 27 member states, each of them has its own democratic institutions, and we trust these institutions. You know that the EU has a clear plan. It is called a strategic agenda.

We know what we want to do in order to make Europe stronger, more resilient, less dependent, more influential for the benefit of our people. We need to deepen our market.

We want to develop our defense capabilities and defense readiness, for which we need more engagement with the rest of the world. With our allies, our partners, the United States and some others, but also with countries with which we have some differences, but we must strengthen the global dialogue”, - said Charles Michel.
