Mamuka Khazaradze, leader of the Strong Georgia coalition, was interrogated in the presence of Magistrate Judge as part of the investigation started on the basis of the appeal of the CEC.
According to the Prosecutor of the case, Lasha Kotrikadze, he gave general answers to the questions and did not say anything specific.
Our questions were directed to specifics so that the investigation could obtain important information that would later have evidentiary value.
“The answers to these questions were general in nature, devoid of facts and evidence. When the question got to specifics, his response was - you have to investigate! Of course, we are already investigating.
A witness is a person who must give you specific information. What is in the public space does not need a witness at all. We were interested in what concrete facts, what evidence this witness could give us. At the trial, Mamuka Khazaradze was a witness who enjoys certain rights and at the same time has certain obligations. He must answer the questions, and if he needs to make political statements, obviously, he has all the space for that and can speak. In the courtroom, the witness must speak about the case“, - said Lasha Kotrikadze.
