“For us, the pseudo-liberal direction is unacceptable, which today characterizes the Party of European Socialists - it was not the case before, but gradually became more visible. The second is loyalty: when you are a member of a political family, a member of a European political party, of course you expect support from them. I will say once again that we have been members of this political party since 2015, however, do you remember any loud statements?

You remember many statements from the European People’s Party (EPP). They directly support criminals because they are criminals, criminals of their party. At such a time, when Georgian Dream does not get any loud support from the Party of European Socialists, this is unacceptable for us.

That is, we will have two criteria: one is value compatibility and the other is proper political loyalty and support from the relevant European party, which unfortunately we did not have in the case of the Party of European Socialists.
