All 33 Georgian citizens evacuated from Sudan to return to their homeland in 2 days. As Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili said, Georgia had made “great efforts” to transport the employees of 2 Georgian-based airlines [Geo Sky and Myway airlines] from the Sudanese capital Khartoum.

“The Government took all actions to bring out our nationals out of Sudan and transfer them to a safe location in a neighboring country. It was a very complicated process. We are expecting them to return to homeland very soon. The evacuations facilitated by foreign organizations and partner states also included other nationals, Ukrainian citizens among them”, - added the Minister.
