The Prime Minister of Georgia received a letter of gratitude from management of the Messe Berlin fairgrounds that hosted this year’s edition of the ITB Berlin tourism fair, with representatives of the venue noting the “outstanding effort” by Georgia in its capacity as the Host Country for the event.
In the letter, Dirk Hoffmann, the Managing Director of Messe Berlin, and David Ruets, the Senior Vice President, thanked Irakli Garibashvili and “everyone involved” in making the event in Berlin a “resounding success”.
“ITB Berlin 2023 was, after a 4-year break forced by the pandemic, again a major international platform for tourism stakeholders and enthusiasts, and Georgia played an integral role in the event.
Your country’s stunning cultural and natural heritage was beautifully showcased, leaving a lasting impression on attendees on all levels and inspiring many to plan their next visit to Georgia. Your contribution towards promoting Georgia as a unique and exciting travel destination was truly commendable”, - reads the letter.
Hoffmann and Ruets also said they hoped the “long-lasting relationship” would be continued.
