Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin, submitted her Government’s resignation after losing the election.
In the Finnish elections, the Social Democratic Party, led by Sanna Marin, lost the election with 19.9% of the vote. Following the developments, Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin submitted her government"s resignation to Finnish President Sauli Niinistö today.
According to a written statement from the Finnish government, Niinistö accepted Marin’s resignation and requested that the old Government continue temporarily until the new Government is formed.
