Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance celebrates Professional Day of employees and presents the report of the activities of the previous year. The Minister of Finance - Lasha Khutsishvili, opened the event dedicated to this day. He positively assessed last year’s activities of the Service and thanked the staff.

The minister emphasized on the achievements of the Investigation Service, the role of the Service in terms of prevention, detection, investigation and suppression of financial and economic crimes and spoke about the active cooperation with the counterpart agencies of different countries and international organizations.

“Protecting the country’s economic security contributes to the creation of a healthy business and investment environment in the country. Promotion of economic development, fight against financial and economic crimes, in general, is significantly related to the successful activities of the Investigation Service. That is why it is especially important to support the institutional development of the Agency, to improve the social and working conditions of the employees and to promote their professional development" - said Lasha Khutsishvili.

Head of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia – Soso Ramishvili, while presenting the annual report, focused on qualification and professionalism of the employees, which led to a record amount of funds mobilized for the state budget in 2022. He mentioned that the Service would continue active work in the future in the direction of maintaining a competitive business environment and detecting and preventing crimes committed in the financial and economic field.
