President of Georgia discussed the issues related to the European integration of Georgia with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany.

Salome Zourabichvili stated at the meeting with Annalena Baerbock that the population of Georgia will not accept a second refusal regarding the candidate status of the European Union and will consider itself abandoned by Europe in such a difficult situation.

“During my last visit to the USA, I had a telephone conversation with the President of Germany, who confirmed the unwavering support to Georgia, and your presence here is a clear confirmation of that”, - said the President of Georgia.

“I want to see Georgia and its population in the European Union. That is why I am here and this is what my government supports. Georgia needs to continue reforms in order to get the candidate status”, - added the Minister.
