“Everything everywhere at the same time” sweeps the Oscars 2023

The awards gala for the 95th edition of the Oscars was held this Sunday, being “Everything everywhere at the same time” the big winner of the night, with 7 statuettes out of 11 possible.

The multi-award-winning film, which far exceeded the rest of the nominees, met expectations after having established itself as the film with the most nominations and receiving excellent reviews. For this reason, for many it was not surprising that it prevailed in the most disputed categories: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Leading Actress, Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor.

He followed No news at the frontthe German war drama about the First World War that won four of the nine categories in which it competed, including Best Foreign Film.

Awards night was held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, with Jimmy Kimmel serving as emcee. The first statuette delivered was for the Mexican director Guillermo del Toro, for pinocchio for Best Animated Film, being the only Latin American awarded in this edition.
