Helsinki Commission welcomes the decision of the Georgian Dream to withdraw the so-called “foreign agent bill”.

“Georgia’s ruling party’s announcement that it will withdraw its Russia-style foreign agent bill is a welcome move for defusing the crisis they alone caused.

We will monitor closely to see that the bill is in fact formally withdrawn and protesters are speedily released”, - reads the tweet of Helsinki Commission.
