All persons arrested by the employees of various structural units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offenses on March 7 and 8 of the current year, during the manifestation held near the Parliament have been released.

“Some of the detainees were brought before the court, while the rest were released based on the expiry of the term of stay in the pre-trial detention center.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs is conducting the investigation in connection with the violent events that took place on March 7-8 under Articles 353 and 187 of the Criminal Code of Georgia. Investigative activities are being carried out in order to determine, identify, and arrest those who attacked the police and to expose other violent acts during the manifestation in the area surrounding the parliament building”, - reads the statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
