The tournament in Georgia is one of the outstanding World Championships. Such a statement made Dean Gosper, a member of the Council of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation.
The FIS official also highlighting the level of infrastructure for the Championships by calling it “outstanding” and adding it allowed athletes to showcase their abilities “as much as possible”.
“This is just the beginning for Georgia. Hope to also see Georgian athletes in prize-winning positions”, - added Gosper.
Michel Von, the Secretary General of the FIS, said Georgia deserved a “round of applause” for the level of its hosting of the event.
Ski, Snowboards and Freeski World Championships in Bakuriani involve about 700 athletes from 42 countries competing in 30 categories.
