Prime Minister wishes the National Olympic Committee a happy 35th anniversary

Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze expressed his best wishes on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the National Olympic Committee.

The Head of Government, together with Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, attended a festive reception marking the anniversary and an awards ceremony honoring successful athletes.

The Prime Minister, the Parliament Speaker, and President of the National Olympic Committee Leri Khabelov awarded Olympic champions Lasha Talakhadze, Geno Petriashvli, and Lasha Bekauri.

Leri Khabelov presented Irakli Kobakhidze and Shalva Papuashvili with the Olympic Committee’s anniversary medals.

It was noted at the event that the year 2024 has seen exceptional achievements in a number of sports.

The ceremony was attended by Olympic champions and medalists, heads of sports organizations, and representatives of different generations of Georgian athletes.
