Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze met with Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The one-on-one meeting was held under the 29th UN Climate Change Conference.

The parties spoke about the issues to be discussed at the conference, alongside the strategic partnership between the two countries. Emphasis was placed on their successful cooperation across a variety of spheres, also the role of joint projects in the development of the countries and the region.

At the meeting, attention was also paid to the region’s security challenges. The parties reaffirmed commitment to maximally promoting peace and stability in the region.

Irakli Kobakhidze invited Ilham Aliyev to pay an official visit to Georgia.
