I am honored to participate in celebrating the 101st anniversary of the Republic Day of Turkey. This day is a decisive moment in the history of the Turkish people and also, constitutes a recognition of the national independence, unity and solid values of democracy, said the Speaker of Parliament at the ceremony dedicated to the Republic Day of Turkey.
“Intact support of Turkey to sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia is invaluable, similar to the loyalty of Georgia to the trust and cooperation of Turkey and the Turkish nation. The strategic partnership between our countries is a testament to the power of mutual respect and devotion to the welfare and prosperity of our nations.
The last decades manifested enhanced partnership since we built bridges connecting our countries in all possible directions. Today, our collaboration covers numerous spheres: trade, energy, culture, education and many more.
We highly value strong links between the Parliament of Georgia and the National Assembly of Turkey. The representatives of the two legislative bodies bolster productive collaboration, friendly ties and valuable communication at all levels. We are committed to, based on our already established cooperation, facilitating further enhancement of our relations. Our countries also share aspirations for peace and stability within our national borders and in a wider region. Our common inclination embodies our will to see the Black Sea region well-connected and developed.
We aspire to implement joint strategic projects. Taking the current turbulent and volatile geopolitical reality into consideration, the facilitation of these indeed indispensable regional projects is crucial for further strategic stability, economic growth and energy security.
I am confident that this partnership will further get enhanced to lead our countries to prosperity. On behalf of the Parliament of Georgia, I extend my hearty congratulations to the Turkish people on the Republic Day of Turkey! Let our friendship and cooperation get stronger year over year”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
